How it works
Registrants
A registrant is the person or organisation registered as the holder of a domain name. Once payment has been received, the secured domain is assigned to the registrant chosen when the backorder was placed and their details are submitted to the relevant domain registry.
You can create and manage up to ten (10) registrants before placing a backorder, then choose which registrant should apply if the domain is secured.
Why Registrants Matter
Registrant details must be accurate and complete. We may need to verify this information to meet our obligations as a domain registrar. Incorrect or incomplete details may delay the assignment of your domain.
Saving registrants in advance keeps checkout fast and ensures the correct registrant is selected when placing a backorder.
How Registrants Work
-
Add registrant details
Create and manage up to ten (10) registrants from your account, or add one while placing a backorder.

-
Choose a registrant
When placing a backorder, select the registrant to use if the domain is successfully secured.

-
Domain secured
Once payment has been received, the domain is assigned to the registrant selected when the backorder was placed, and their details are stored with the relevant domain registry.
If the domain goes to auction, the selected registrant for the winning backorder is assigned to the domain.
Managing Saved Registrants
You can save up to ten (10) registrants in your account and select the appropriate one for each backorder. This is useful when placing backorders for different people or organisations.
Registrants can be edited until they are assigned to a secured domain. After that, identifying information, such as the registrant's name or organisation, can no longer be changed.
